COVID-19 Notification: Temporary suspension of FedEx domestic and international pick-up and delivery services in India amid lock down due to COVID-19 pandemic
Message from: Mohamad Sayegh, Vice President – Operations, India. FedEx Express
Dear Customer,
Effective March 24, 2020, FedEx Express and TNT have temporarily and partially suspended pick-up and delivery for domestic and international to and from India, until further notice. The service suspension is in response to the Government of India directives on the closure of offices, establishments, and public transportation in key cities of India to contain COVID-19.
Where possible, we will continue to move critical and life-saving medical shipments to and from India, including COVID-19 related items – testing kits, medicines, medical devices and bulk drugs/intermediaries for pharmaceuticals.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and will resume our normal operations as soon as the circumstances allow.
FedEx is adhering to all regulations and guidelines from government authorities related to the containment of COVID-19, and we are taking recommended precautions in terms of the health and safety of our team members and customers. With new restrictions and limitations coming out daily to help contain the spread of the virus, we’ve created a site dedicated to the latest information on how we’re responding to this very dynamic situation.
Please visit fedex.com/in or TNT.com to check the status of your shipments.
Thank you for your understanding.
