Headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana, it is mainly a supply chain services company that provides services like warehousing, transportation, freight, and other order fulfillment services. Now, Delhivery is India’s largest B2B, B2C, and C2C logistics courier services provider. They have an enviable customer base standing at 21,342 active customers including e-commerce marketplaces, enterprises, and SMEs.
In its primary funding round led by Fidelity Management and research company, Delhivery had raised approximately Rs.1995 crore. Delhivery is also all set to receive a $100 million investment from the American giant, FedEx Express in addition to the $227 million funding it had received previously from other investors.

The Ukrainian Postal Service (Ukrposhta) announced the stamp design after holding a public vote on social media for a postage stamp competition meant to commemorate the soldiers who defended a military outpost on the island last month fighting it’s war against Russia.

Stamp Design:

According to an interpreter for NPR, the artist of the winning design, Borys Grokh, told Ukrposhta he was so impressed by the soldiers’ refusal to surrender that he decided to submit an illustration to lift morale.

It took him three days to complete the sketch due to the distraction by the news about its ongoing war. He could have created it in five hours, he told the postal service.

Grokh used to live in a city on the Crimean peninsula, just east of Snake Island. He is now in Lviv, in western Ukraine.

The soldiers may be alive

The soldiers had been stationed on the island, which is in the Black Sea south of Ukraine’s mainland. The Ukraine Soldiers used the choice words when Russian naval forces told them to surrender.

The soldiers may still be alive, officials have said.

An interpreter for NPR says the famous phrase quite literally translates to English. Although the expression doesn’t quite exist in English.

The floating post office was inaugurated back in the year 2011 by Omar Abdullah, the then Chief Minister of the state of Jammu & Kashmir along with Sachin Pilot, Minister of State for Communications and IT.

In addition, the Post Office premise features a philately museum that features a huge collection of unique stamps. Also there’s a souvenir shop from where one can buy postcards, stamps, local items and greeting cards. Suez Canal reopens: The vast container ship that was blocking the canal for six days has been freed and is moving north to an anchor point, the Suez Canal Authority said, paving the way to open the critical waterway and ease days of global supply delays. The Ever Given, one of the world’s biggest container ships was holding up $10 billion in trade each day. The 120-mile canal sees about 15% of global shipping traffic so efforts have also begun to get the more than 450 vessels waiting to pass through.

The ship stuck sideways across one of the world’s busiest and most important trade channels—that has captured international attention, cost the global economy billions of dollars in lost trade, and launched multitudes of memes—has finally been freed.

Oil prices slipped today, as soon as news emerged that the Ever Given container ship had been partially dislodged in the Suez Canal.

The Suez Canal crisis shows just how vulnerable our global supply chains are right now. Oil, natural gas and food prices could rise! But finally, Suez Canal reopens.

Engineers raced throughout the day to finish the job of dislodging the Ever Given after partially refloating the ship at dawn, taking advantage of an unusually high tide to make the job easier. Tugboats helped pull the vessel out from the side of the canal where it had been stuck, before straightening its heading. Egyptian television images showed tugboats blaring their horns, as they towed the Ever Given to safety. Once stabilized it was towed toward an anchor point at a lake further up the canal system, enabling ships already in the canal network to travel.

In 2013, India Post introduced Hub & Spoke mechanism for transmission of domestic Speed Post articles under Mail Network Optimization Project (MNOP). 105 major centers of the country were selected as Speed Post Hubs which were named as Intra Circle Hubs (ICHs).

ICHs are responsible to dispatch incoming shipments to its connected delivery post offices within the circle and on the same lines are responsible to dispatch outward shipments to within circle and outside circle National Sorting Hubs (NSHs).

India Post’s Speed Post Articles(SPAs) are more efficient and quicker. Articles are more efficiently sorted just by identifying the last 3 digits of the PIN codes or districts at Intra Circle Hubs (ICHs).

TMO in India Post means Transit Mail Office. It is a branch of RMS (Railway Mail Service) where closed bags are received and dispatched, sorting of letters is not done in this unit. Mail Agent or Mail Guard is in charge of this unit. This can function in number of sets depending upon requirements.
